Sign-Up Instructions

UO students opt-in to participate in the Leftover Textover program. Sign-ups open in June, after commencement, in each academic year. Students who sign-up remain in the program until the end of spring term, unless they opt out early. Returning students are encouraged to sign-up again if they’re staying for summer term or the following fall term. In early years the program paused over summer term, but this changed based on feedback from campus partners.

During the brief transition between spring and summer term the database is cleared. This keeps the sign-up database current and reduces the need for graduating students to have to opt-out. Students can opt out at any time during the year by replying STOP.

Students sign-up for Leftover Text from foodsecurity.uoregon.edu/s/signup. Students must first login via the UO's identity management system to ensure the program is only accessed by current UO students.
