The Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration (CFLR) Program was established in the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 to promote the collaborative, science-based ecosystem restoration of priority forest landscapes. The program uses a competitive process to allocate funding to landscape-scale restoration projects that were proposed by the USDA Forest Service and collaborators on national forest lands.
The Lakeview Stewardship CFLR Program was one of 23 projects selected for funding by the Forest Service in 2010-2012. Monitoring is a central component of all CFLR programs, and each is required to develop a collaborative, multiparty monitoring plan for tracking both the ecological and the socioeconomic outcomes of the project.
EWP has been conducting socioeconomic monitoring for the CFLR Program since FY2012. In 2021, EWP, along with Lake County Resources Initiative and the Klamath Lake Forest Health Partnership (KFLHP), created a new monitoring plan to guide the next 10 years of monitoring. This plan includes All-Lands projects that KFLHP is involved with in addition to the Lakeview CFLR Program. The new monitoring plan can be found below.
