Finance and Administration Shared Services

Finance and Administration Shared Services (FASS) is a strategic shared business hub focused on administrative operations in higher education. FASS has three major areas of support: Business Operations, Information Technology and Human Resources. FASS supports IROCE In these areas and partners with groups such as the Location Innovation Lab to help bring ideas and research to fruition in higher education.

John Marchetta

In his current role as the assistant vice president for FASS, Jon oversaw the creation of the FASS group at the University of Oregon starting in 2016. Since then, he has headed the development of the unit to support 28 departments across seven operational portfolios. Jon provides strategic administrative guidance to IROCE staff and leadership. He has more than 17 years of experience managing higher education operations, with previous stops at the University of IOWA, Kirkwood Community College, and Portland Community College. Jon received his undergraduate degree with a focus in entrepreneurial management from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from the University of Iowa.

Sandy Goodell

Sandy provides comprehensive budgetary reporting and analysis, grant support, and other financial and business support for the Disaster Resilient Universities (DRU) Network and Location Innovation Lab (LIL) - Applied Innovation Program. Sandy also works in partnership with Dan Shepard in providing coverage as needed for the Ecosystem Workforce Program (EWP) and the Center for Wildfire Smoke Research and Practice within the Institute for Resilient Organizations, Communities, and Environments.
