James is an Assistant Research Professor in the Institute for Resilient Organizations, Communities, and Environments. His research interests include fire ecology, dendroecology, restoration forestry, environmental law and policy, and collaborative governance. He works closely with collaborative stakeholder groups across Oregon to plan, implement, and monitor forest restoration projects.
